JACK BLAKEY

Jack is an astute and agile strategic and commercial leader with more than 25 years’ experience across a wide variety of companies and organisations. He has supported established market leading companies in significantly growing their businesses, reinvigorated successful turnarounds and launched, built and sold start ups.  

Beginning his career in advertising and marketing services in Australia, Jack progressed quickly into more specialised fields such as strategic planning, business development and marketing strategy and communications operating in categories including industry, finance, health, Government communications and consumer sectors such as food, nutrition and technology. Some of the global companies Jack has supported include Johnson & Johnson, Unilever, Pfizer, Sony, Eli Lilly, WPP, Interpublic Group, Novartis, GSK, Nestle, Toyota and American Express as well as Ministries of the Japanese and Australian Governments.

He has also led and managed company operations for marketing and professional services organisations in technically complex, multi-stakeholder, regulated settings across all stages of the product/service lifecycle from research/development, pre-launch, launch and through to extended lifecycle management. He’s successfully achieved these significant milestones working in complex and highly matrixed commercial, societal and cultural settings in Australia, Japan, the Asia Pacific region and globally.

In his most recent role, Jack was President and Representative Director with full P&L responsibility for a large specialised marketing services company in Tokyo with annual turnover of US$60mill and a team of 200 staff, who were servicing 40 different client companies across 100 different brands.
